Examinations are over and it is time to go back home. I decided(or rather circumstances forced me) to spend an extra night in the hostel(more on this circumstances later).
Most of my friends are now being pampered by their parents. Of course, they deserve it, both the parents and their prodigal daughters/sons. After four months of repugnant hostel food, exhaustive night outs, irritating infra works, crap grades(and crap people who give them), you deserve to be pampered.And some lucky ones are being pampered by members of those species(rare in an engineering institute) we call "women" or in queen's English "girlfriends".
Now, I wrote this article to tell you guys how much you have missed. Friends, you have missed the empty hostel rooms and the deserted corridors. How do I describe you the feeling of staying in a near empty hostel ? It feels god like, to be able to do whatever you like; no obligations whatsoever. Even the silence feels special. To see that the only room in the corridor that is lively, is your room.
I could have gone onto describe this feeling more artistically if I were a poet. But since I am not, I'll give you only one advice, next time stay one extra night in hostel and you'll know what I am talking about.
I got to go, I don't have time to ramble to you now, because I have to enjoy my last hostel night.......
I beg to differ Sir Bidyut. Yesterday, even I spent one whole day staying inside the only 'lively' room in an otherwise empty lobby. And I must say it was the dullest day of my life...No friends to bakar with, no one to tease, no one to enjoy movies with...

ReplyDeleteI always like staying alone in the hostel. With about a capacity of and then being alone is fun, according to me. And then there is the added gift that I get 24 hours e-access with download speeds that I have never seen in my entire life. :)
